Into to Printmaking : Linocut

In this 2 hour class would include an introduction to linocut printmaking and the tools and techniques used. 

The project would be to create a small print featuring mountain elements chosen by the participant. 

 We will learn carving techniques to create the blocks, finishing up with inking and handprinting our designs. While the designs will be printed in one color, other hand coloring techniques will be shared. 

About your teacher! Kelly Suzanne Hartman is a local painter, jeweler, printmaker and fiber artist inspired by the natural world. She earned her BFA in painting from a Western Oregon University and returned home to Montana  to practice her art. Her budding business is Studio 308.
